PT PP (Persero) Tbk, one of the leading construction and investment companies in Indonesia ("PTPP") signed the MoU of the Batang Industrial Zone on Tuesday (30/06). The signing of this MoU was carried out between the parties, namely: PTPP with PT Kawasan Industri Wijayakusuma (Persero) ("KIW") and PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) ("PTPN III") at the Batang Industrial Estate location. In the event, President Joko Widodo also visited the Batang Industrial Area accompanied by SOE Minister Erick Thohir, Minister of Public Works & Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, BKPM Head Bahlil Lahadalia, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and other officials.
The Batang Industrial Estate, located in Batang Regency, Central Java Province, has a total area of about 4,300 hectares which in this phase 1 will develop 450 hectares of land. The area located in the industrial corridor north of Java will carry the concept of The Smart & Sustainable Industrial District. Where the Smart concept has 3 (three) Basic Principles (Smart Society, Smart Environment & Infrastructure and Smart Economy) and 2 (two) Design Interventions (Smart Experience and Smart Planning).
In the development of the Batang Industrial Zone, it will be divided into 3 (three) zones, namely: Light and Medium Industrial Zones, Innovation and Creative Economy Zones, and Manufacturing and Logistics Zones. The Batang Industrial Estate is planned to have the following facilities: sports facilities, command center, fire brigade, worship facilities and hospitals. In addition, this region also has a vision to promote the creative economy, industry, information technology and space for innovation for the community. The Batang Industrial Zone is planned to have a Green Open Space ("RTH"), an interaction space and pedestrian friendly. Where has the concept of planning with a design approach from the previous Conventional Industrial City with the concept of land use zoning becoming a New Industrial City by promoting mixed functions and ease of walking (mixed use and walkable neighborhood).
Batang Industrial Estate has several advantages, including: located on the north side of the Trans Java Toll Road which can facilitate access to the Industrial Estate, crossed by railroad tracks and has the potential to become a Dry Port, directly adjacent to the North Coast of Java and will be made Transit Oriented Department by the Regency Government The stem.
